    Dear Member

In an effort to define the future of the Northeast Association of Occupational Health Nurses (NEAOHN) we are asking all of our members to assist us by responding to a brief survey. The survey can be accessed at http://www.neaohn.org/ . Please take a few minutes to complete the survey and help us set our course for the future of this organization. In case you aren't aware on May 1, 2006...

...the LAW AND PUBLIC SAFETY DIVISION OF CONSUMER AFFAIRS STATE BOARD OF NURSING issues a  new rule that NJ state Registered Nurses are required to have 30 continuing education programs or education related to nursing to maintain our licenser.

See the attached for further information

In order to help the NJ Occupational Health and Environmental Nurse with this requirement - your Board at the NJSAOHN has initiate new plans to have at least two to three events in each region this year with AAOHN approved continuing education offerings.  That makes hopefully 9 education events in the state plus our Annual meeting in March!  We are listening to your needs and trying to reach out to our members and add value.  Please attend these offering and bring a friend!

As we are all volunteers - we need you help if you know of a program or know of a great speaker or have resources for locations for us to hold our programs - please contact your Board.  We can be reached via email by clicking here.

We are committed "To sustain and enhance the Occupational and Environmental Health Nurse as a growing Profession in New Jersey."

Sincerely Your President -
