CORPORATE NURSE

CHD Meridian Healthcare, the nation’s largest provider of directly contracted healthcare centers, is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to work at our corporate health site in Mt. Laural, NJ.

This candidate will be responsible for handling health screenings, wellness programs, responding to emergencies and handling illness/injuries. Candidates should have excellent corporate presentation, computer skills and interpersonal skills. Also, the candidate will have a valid New Jersey license and current CPR certification. The schedule for this position is to work on Wednesdays from 8am-4:30pm each week.

Registered Nurse

Responsibilities include:  phlebotomy, pre-placement and periodic physical exams, drug testing, audiometric testing, pulmonary function testing, vision screening, EKG’s, travel consults, and administration of immunizations.

Emergency response/triage/treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses.  Works under direction of Medical Director and Corporate Health physicians. Work reviewed for adequacy against Novartis Employee Health objectives and contributes to completion of health programs/projects. Represents organization in solving health issues for specific projects.

Other responsibilities include:

Administering health management programs such as Wellness Programs and Workers’ Compensation.  Provides nursing services to employees or persons who become ill or suffer an accident.  Maintains record of persons treated, prepares accident reports and provides health education information.

Minimum requirements:


Registered professional nurse current licensure, State of New Jersey.  Current certification CPR/AED.  Must be able to work independently. He/she should be proactive, self motivated and high energy.

Would prefer applicant to have a minimum of 2 years industry work experience, preferably in the Pharmaceutical industry or work-site/Corporate Medicine. Nurse Case Manager – South Jersey

Description

Yoh Health Care is seeking a full-time, permanent RN Case Manager to provide workers’ compensation case management for leading health care provider in Southern New Jersey. This position is business hours in a corporate setting with no nights, weekends or holidays!

Responsibilities include:

√  Referring injured employees to a panel physician.

Acting as liaison between the provider, the employee, and the adjuster.

Entering a standard of care guideline and ICD-9 for all cases.

Monitoring the course and plan of treatment and making recommendations to the adjuster to facilitate a return to work.

Making recommendations and referrals (with input from the claims adjuster) for Independent Medical Exams when they determine that treatment will not result in a release to return to work.

Sending authorization and de-authorization letters to the treating physicians.

Requesting MMI once treatment has concluded or it appears that treatment has stagnated. 

 Requirements

Bachelors Degree.

RN licensure.

Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well through telephone contact in a corporate setting.

Ability to multi-task.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Computer proficiency.

 

Nurse Practitioner, Employee Health – Newark, NJ

Description

Yoh Health Care is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to work at the employee health center of a leading health care provider in Newark, NJ. This position is business hours with no nights, weekends or holidays!

Responsibilities include:

Provide urgent care in a corporate health setting

Triage and treat workplace injuries or illnesses

Provide disease management and wellness education to employees

 

Requirements

√ 3-5 years experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, primary care or occupational/employee health 

Valid State Licensure

Current CPR certification required and ACLS preferred

√ Flexibility, good interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently are all important attributes for this position


 

 

 

Wellness Coordinator/PIP Case Manager (Hammonton, NJ)

 -or-

Wellness Coordinator for our Parsippany branch office

New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company (NJM), a leading property-casualty insurer, has an immediate opening for a Wellness Coordinator/PIP Case Manager(S).

 Responsibilities:

Provide medical services as onsite Occupational Health Nurse including but not limited to: providing first aid to employees, dispensing OTC medications according to NJM Wellness Center's Standing Orders, responding to emergency medical situations, maintaining Hammonton's Wellness Center statistics, providing blood pressure screenings as needed, coordinating Hepatitis B and Influenza vaccine administration and maintaining records.

Provide medical information of a general nature in response to employee inquiries. Refer to community resources as needed. Coordinate Health Fair activities as requested. Develop health tip for publication on Company Web site.

Maintain medical supplies for the Wellness Center, monitoring expiration dates. Review adequacy of Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT) supplies on a monthly basis, monitoring expiration dates.

Maintain membership on NJM's MERT and attend quarterly meetings. Attend quarterly Safety Committee meetings and maintain incident reports. Maintain certifications for MERT members and arrange and teach certification and recertification as needed. Recruit MERT members as needed and communicate with the Team on a regular basis.

 Review and approve PIP precertification requests for treatment, testing and/or surgery to determine if it is medically necessary in relation to the injuries sustained in the motor vehicle accident. Make recommendations to authorize the request or send for further physician review. Assist PIP Claims Adjuster(s) in managing catastrophic claims. Perform other related activities as requested (e.g., desk audits).

   Qualifications:

-       Current NJ RN license

-       Past clinical experience in critical care area (ex. ICU/CCU, ER, OR)

-       CPR/AED/First Aid certified

-       Willing to become a certified instructor of CPR/AED/First Aid

-       Adept at review and audit of PIP medical records/bills

-       Willing to assist in case managing catastrophic PIP claims

-       Case Management experience a plus

-       Good written and verbal communication skills

-       Capable of working independently
