Update on Irritable Bowel

Speaker: Cory A Golloub, MD, FAAP

Dr. Golloub is board certified in Pediatrics (children) and in Internal Medicine (adults) and is licensed to practice in New York and New Jersey. He is proudly affiliated with several leading medical facilities. He is Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Golloub is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is also a member of the New Jersey Pediatric Society, American Medical Association and the Medical Society of New Jersey. Dr. Golloub is originally from the Bronx, NY. Dr. Golloub now lives in New Jersey with his wife Susan and daughters Emily and Alison.

Continuing Nursing Education: 2.0 (CNE) contact hours pending and 2.0 Case Manager (CCM) education hours pending. Contact hours have been applied for from the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses.

Program purpose: The purpose of this education is to update the OHN nurses on the current issues of Irritable Bowel Syndrome.

Objectives:

  • To be able to recognize and describe IBS through interview and physical exams
  • To be able to discuss latest treatment and to educate employees/patients on condition state, causes and treatment (natural and prescription)

Cost: includes buffet and program:

"My Hand Hurts" - Now What?

Speaker: Steven A, Maser, MD

Dr. Maser is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in the Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Maser is the Section Chief, Hand Subcommittee, Department of Orthopaedics at Morristown Memorial Hospital where he also serves as Secretary of the Medical Staff. He also has hospital privileges at Saint Barnabas Medical Center and Saint Clares Hospital. Dr. Maser presently has a solo practice with offices in Morristown, NJ and Dover, NJ. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Medical Association, the Medical Society of New Jersey, and a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, just to name a few.

Continuing Nursing Education: 2.0 (CNE) contact hours and 2.0 Case Manager (CCM) education hours.

Program purpose: To provide occupational health nurses with current information on complaints of hand pain in the workplace.

Objectives:

  • Gain a working knowledge of common conditions that cause hand and wrist pain
  • Understand therapeutic interventions, both non-operative and operative, for common hand and wrist problems.
