The Occupational Health Consultant manages the business relationship with Cerner's client, Campbell Soup Company; provides guidance to client with both clinical and strategic Occupational Health issues, trends and industry best practices; interact directly with client and nurses to resolve operational and clinical issues; act as an advocate and consultant for all nursing clinic locations; work with consultant Occupational Health physician to resolve clinical and/or medical policy issues; manages activities related to contractual compliance and overall performance; maintains detailed knowledge of clinic operations, federal and state compliance programs and industry best practices; reviews and update policies and procedures; facilitates and provides consultation to task force teams to complete project objectives; reviews all Global Safety Audit Section 17 results and prepare Post Audit Action Plans; collects and sends medical charts for review with consulting occupational health physician; creates summary of medical chart review for Action Plan; coordinates and facilitates conference calls to discuss results of Post Audit Action plan and medical chart review; maintains monthly clinic utilization reports for 14 U.S. clinics; facilitates monthly conference calls with clinics; reviews all non-negative Drug Free Business substance abuse testing results; provides consultation to site location and legal; provides quarterly statistics on Drug Free Business testing results; maintains and tracks professional licenses and certifications; participated in bi-weekly conference calls with Safety Directors; provides documentation for OH Kit communication; participates in Global Safety audits at various manufacturing plant locations; provided consultation for annual continuing education and fall team conferences; provides orientation to new nurses using checklist tool; works collaboratively with Safety, Legal, Human Resources and Risk Management on special projects that align with Occupational Health objectives and strategy; and provides website maintenance and post policies to the Campbell’s OH website.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years experience in occupational health
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be located in or within driving distance of Camden, NJ
Ability to travel as necessary

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Nursing, Public Health or Business/Healthcare Administration
COHN-S Certification

Qualified candidates will have a BSN, current RN licensure, CPR certification with AED use and at least 1 year of full-time consecutive clinical practice as a Nurse Practitioner in both episodic medical care and emergency care. Completion of a formal Nurse Practitioner education program with certification of clinical competency is also required. The successful candidate must demonstrate analytical thinking, customer focus and excellent communication skills. Preferred candidates will have certification as Occupational Health Nurse Supervisory and health promotion experience.

The candidate should have excellent communication, interpersonal and clinical skills.

Education: Bachelors in Nursing or equivalent with current licensure in NJ. COHN certification preferred.

Clinical nursing activities include:

  • Participation in the annual physical exam program. Perform appropriate testing and evaluations, as ordered by the MD.

Occupational Nurse Practitioner Position

Managing the day to day operations of an on-site medical clinic in collaboration with the company physician. Duties include evaluation and treatment of all workplace injuries ordering diagnostic testing and facilitating referrals when necessary, routine drug screening and post offer employment physicals.
