Full time Occupational Health Registered Nurse

We have an opening for a Full time Occupational Health Registered Nurse to work at our employer health center located in Camden, New Jersey.

We are seeking a Full Time Occupational Health Nurse for a new location in Camden, New Jersey.

Summary:
This position is responsible for providing occupational health services to our client's employees in a manufacturing plant. The qualified candidate would be responsible for treating and triaging worksite illness and injury, monitoring medical surveillance programs and Work Comp case coordination. More broadly, the successful candidate will partner with our client's key internal stakeholders (Corporate Occupational Health, Benefits, HR, Safety, Risk Management, Legal) in the development and implementation of occupational health services and to support company health, wellness and safety programs.

Essential Functions:
Uses nursing skills to evaluate patient care needs, prioritize treatment, and maintain patient flow

Conducts a nursing assessment by taking a patient history and physical assessment and by obtaining vital signs and other medical tests. Provides treatment within scope of practice as defined by state law

Collaborates with Physician or other Licensed Independent Practitioner to arrange for further medical treatment, when needed

Performs occupational and health screening tests as defined in site contract (audiometry, spirometry, vision)

Documents accurately all elements of nursing assessment, treatments, medications administered, discharge instructions provided, and follow up care arranged

Identifies emergency situations and provides care within legal scope of practice

Integrates with on-site Emergency response plan including arranging for CPR and Bloodborne pathogen training

Maintains patient privacy and confidential patient information

Performs drug testing

Coordinates Workers Compensation process and return to work in collaboration with TPA Maintains OSHA records

Implements company provided wellness programs and, additionally, employee health and wellness programs addressing the unique health risks and demographics of the site.

Collaborates with local leadership to ensure alignment in the delivery of services

Requirements:
Graduation from an accredited Nursing program, required; Bachelor's degree (BSN), preferred

At least three years experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic, preferred

Currently licensed Registered Nurse in the state

COHN preferred, CAHOC preferred

Current Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association, required

Knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software
