Congratulations to Mary Ganz on obtaining her COHN-S Certification, and to Scott McLarnon on passing his Nurse Practioner Boards.

The poster was designed to show a novel way to deliver healthcare in a cost effective manner. The Township of Hamilton Rescue is considered a small business and like many small businesses in this country, affordable healthcare insurance options are not available.

In order to help employees, Steve Marks and his team built an exam room in an underutilized space, equipped it with donated and used equipment, and delivered primary and urgent care services at no cost to employees of Hamilton Township Rescue and their families.

What makes this program unique is that there is a hybrid business relationship with Viking Yachts. Viking employees and their families can receive "after hours care" in the same office, and in return, Viking provides immunizations and supplies.

And of course, there is Bridgette, the therapy dog, which makes all the patients feel comfortable and loved, leading to better perceptions of care and diminished stress.
